The current mobile app does not require a TaskJogger account. Your assets, reminder dates, and notes are stored on your device. On iOS, the app can back up this data to your iCloud account; Android backup depends on your device's backup settings. Device identifiers, usage analytics, and purchase information are handled separately from these local records.

Legacy Account Information: Email address and name if you created an account in an earlier version
Profile Information: Notification preferences and settings
Asset Data: Information about your assets (cars, homes, pets, travel documents) and associated reminders, deadlines, and notes

Payment Information

Payment processing is handled by RevenueCat and the respective app stores (Apple App Store, Google Play). We do not directly store your payment card details.

Schedule phone notifications based on your configured deadlines and device permissions

4. Third-Party Services

We work with trusted third-party services to provide TaskJogger:

RevenueCat: Subscription and payment processing
PostHog: App and website usage analytics, including device identifiers and page or screen activity
Apple and Google: App-store purchases and device backup services, subject to your platform settings
Cloudflare: Website hosting and delivery

Earlier app versions used Clerk for accounts, Convex for backend storage, and Resend for email reminders. Those descriptions apply to the earlier versions; email reminders are not a feature of the current offline app.

These providers have their own privacy policies and are contractually obligated to protect your data.

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your data only in these circumstances:

With service providers who help us operate TaskJogger (as listed above)
If required by law, such as in response to a court order
To protect the rights and safety of TaskJogger, our users, or others

6. Data Retention

Current app reminders and assets remain in local storage until you remove them or the app's data. Cloud backups are managed separately through your Apple or Google account settings. Removing local app data does not cancel an app-store subscription or necessarily remove an existing cloud backup.

For legacy accounts and information held by our services, we retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we need to retain information for legal or legitimate business purposes.
